 Our Customer of the Month for July, 2009 is Chuck Grunzweig of John's Towing in Tonawanda NY. About Chuck Grunzweig: Chuck has been in the Towing, recovery and heavy hauling business since 1979. He had plans of joining the Marines after High School but a little nudging from his Dad convinced him to enter the towing business instead. A lot has happened since then. John's Towing boasts 22 trucks and 17 employees. Chucks favorite truck is his 1801 which he built from a tractor. Chuck claims that it's a "truck that will never let you down". Chuck and his company are very community service oriented. They have no problem with providing free services to those in need and don't have the means to pay. Most Interesting Story:Chuck thinks back to when he first entered the business. He remembers one of his first calls. A car went off the road and into a creek. Chuck and his Dad responded. Chuck's dad turned to Chuck and said "take off your boots". Chuck couldn't figure out what was going on as he handed his father the boots. Dad promptly put the boots on and proceeded into the creek to hook up the car. This "first taste" of the towing business left a lasting impression on Chuck. Awards and Commendations: Chuck has won many awards and commendations from the local police and fire departments resulting from his involvement in their training sessions.
