If objects (both still and moving) are detected within a 10 foot radar detection zone behind the vehicle when backing up, the brakes are applied automatically. The system not only alerts the vehicle operator both audibly and visually with an in cab display, but it automatically applies the brakes to stop the vehicle before impact occurs. The vehicle has the capability to continue to back up once the operator presses the override button. The system is automatically initiated when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. Systems consist of a back up sensor capable of covering the area behind the vehicle, an electronic interface module to communicate between the sensor and the braking system and an air valve (MBL90B only) used for apolying the service brakes in air brak equipped vehicle. The kit also contains enough wiring for a vehicle up to 15 feet long. Additional cable lengths can be purchased separately. Call for details.
